Celebrating Art and Children’s Education
An art gallery that springs to life upon the underlying mission of Golden Road Arts can count dozens of blessings. In our case, we have truly thousands of things in our recent past that make the opening of Grey Raven Gallery possible. Without our non-profit mission of helping children experience art, opening a gallery may not have been even a dream.
We saw the idea of an art gallery as a way to present art to the community AND partially fund our 501(c)(3) educational non-profit, Golden Road Arts, while increasing exposure for local artists in the Beaverton downtown area. But the thousands of “reasons” for the gallery opening are literally the thousands of children we have introduced to art and encouraged during the past three years. Their smiles and the joy of learning about and creating art make it all worthwhile.
Those children (and their parents) who attend our free classes in elementary schools, low-income housing communities, migrant camps and local libraries have encouraged us to try even more diligently to fund and extend our mission to other projects, to other schools and into new deserving communities. Supporting Grey Raven Gallery is also a healthy donation to our mission, as 50% of our post-expenses revenue goes to Golden Road Arts. Thank You!
